Activity RLC Groups, or Activity GroupA way to logically organize the rooms/locations in your activity for two purposes: Check-in and reporting. These groups can be further broken down into sub groups and sub-sub groups(s) are the third step in the activity creation process. Activity groups provide a way to logically organize the rooms/locations (RLCs) in your activity. This feature provides organization in two places: Fellowship One Check-in and reports.

To create an activity RLC group:

  1. Click Ministry > Activity/Room Setup > Activity RLC Groups. The Add/Edit Activity Group form appears. Ensure the correct ministry is displayed in the ministry box at the top of the form and the correct activity is displayed in the Show activity drop-down list at the bottom of the form.
  2. Type a group name in the Activity grouping name drop-down list. If you only have one room/location (RLC) where people will be meeting for this activity, it's OK to name this group the same as the activity or the RLC.
  3. Select one of the following in the Balance type drop-down list.
  4. Click Save.

Activity Super Groups

After you have added your first Activity RLC Group, a new field called Super group becomes available. Super groups are a way to nest groups for very large activities such as children's services. In activities where you have multiple rooms for the same age or type of participant, Super Groups are helpful because you can create groups for your groups! Let's look at an example.

Dynamic Church has 2 rooms for each grade level (Kindergarten - 5th Grade). To make reporting easier, staff members created a group called Elementary that became the Super Group. They then created groups for each grade level that roll up to the Elementary Super Group.
